Job summary

This position requires a Master's degree in Japanese and three or more years of teaching experience in a college or university setting. Compensation is $800 per contact hour, with benefits including health packages, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement. Chicago residency is required for full-time employees within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Three or more years teaching Japanese in a university or college environment.
• Experience studying or living in a francophone country.
• Significant experience working in a multicultural classroom.

Responsibilities

• Construction of a course syllabus consistent with Departmental and College Requirements.
• Delivery of instruction with an emphasis on student-centered activities and active learning.
• Consultation with and one-on-one tutoring of students.
