Position Overview

Non‑tenure track adjunct instructor responsible for teaching undergraduate mathematics and statistics courses, managing course responsibilities, and participating in departmental service.

Teaching Load

Up to 6 credit hours per semester, based on availability, with duties including in‑class, hybrid, and/or online instruction.

Responsibilities
  • Teach mathematics and statistics courses (in‑class, hybrid, and/or online).
  • Provide tutoring, grade assignments, and maintain accurate records.
  • Post grades, manage attendance, and hold office hours.
  • Submit required departmental end‑of‑semester clearance items.
  • Comply with all departmental, college, university, and Texas A&M University System policies.
  • Perform services to the department, college, university, and the profession as assigned.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics or statistics.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation applications.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in statistics or mathematics with graduate courses in statistics.
  • Certification for online instruction (Quality Matters certification accepted).
  • Three years of full‑time university‑level teaching experience in mathematics and/or statistics.
  • Evidence of successful and effective undergraduate teaching.
