Lone Star College in The Woodlands, Texas is hiring an Adjunct Faculty to teach Math courses on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Mathematics or related fields and will be responsible for creating engaging lessons that foster student involvement and learning.
Responsibilities include evaluating student progress and maintaining professional relationships. The position offers a supportive work environment and focuses on academic excellence.
Purpose and Scope: It is the responsibility of the teaching faculty to provide the learning activities and support that will lead to the achievement of the course objectives and contribute to the educational environment of the college and the community. Primary responsibilities are to plan, develop and teach courses within the curriculum in a manner that facilitates student learning.
Adjunct Faculty Employment: Adjunct faculty are hired in a part‑time capacity on a semester‑by‑semester basis, contingent upon the needs of the System. They may teach a maximum of five classes per academic year and are hired based on student demand. Classes are offered at various times and locations during the academic year.
The work is sedentary, involving sitting, walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required.
$55.44 per contact hour.
