The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. invites applications for an Electrical Instructor to deliver safety, theory, and hands-on electrical training within our program. The role emphasizes clear instruction, effective use of visual aids, and adherence to safety standards.
The successful candidate will develop and revise curricula, administer assessments, and ensure timely completion of all required documentation while maintaining strong communication with students and staff.
Under the general supervision of the Industrial Technology Program Manager, performs duties related to instruction in the electrical discipline. Lecture class on safety, electrical power, electrical theory, household and industrial wiring, switches, troubleshooting of electrical circuits AC/DC as well as following work instructions using visual aids, such as graphs, charts, videos, and PowerPoint. Maintain the safety of the students as a priority. Deliver technical product knowledge and skill-based instruction, including certification and customized curricula for the customer. Implement approved revisions to course material as necessary to actively engage participants to maximize learning. Continuously enhance technical instructional delivery and presentation skills. Administer written and practical assessments to evaluate trainees' performance. Completion and submission of any required documentation upon conclusion. Deliver attendance within the established deadlines. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills and be proficient in computer skills in the major office applications, i.e. Word, Excel, Access.
At least 5 years electrical experience, licensed electrician is a plus. Previous experience delivering courses in a learning environment or other group training setting. Candidates should be able to work independently, be self‑directing, have good verbal and written skills.
