The Chronicle of Higher Education, Inc. seeks an NCCER Instructor to lead training sessions and evaluate student performance within the Electrical Construction domain.
The role emphasizes safety, effective instructional delivery, and timely documentation in line with NCCER accreditation standards. Applicants should hold an NCCER Certificate or be able to obtain one, with a background of 4+ years in electrical construction or 3+ years teaching in vocational/technical settings.
Under the general supervision of the Industrial Technology and Environmental Program Manager, the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Instructor will be responsible for conducting training sessions, administering performance evaluations and online evaluations within the area of expertise. The Instructor will maintain the safety of the students as a priority. The Instructor will also enhance their technical instructional delivery and presentation skills. Completion and submission of any required documentation upon conclusion as required by the NCCER Accreditation Standard.
Be able to obtain an NCCER Certificate for Instruction in Electrical Construction. Experience at a minimum journey- or technician-level (at least 4 years) in the specific craft they wish to be certified to teach or a minimum of three years’ experience as a certified teacher in a vocational/technical construction or maintenance-related training program in the specific craft they wish to be certified to teach.
