Job summary

County College of Morris Foundation seeks an Adjunct Instructor for Culinary Arts and Hospitality (Baking). The role involves teaching courses per department outlines, with day/evening and hybrid options, under the Adjunct Faculty collective bargaining agreement.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with industry experience; culinary degrees and/or a master’s degree with experience are preferred. Prior teaching experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in appropriate discipline required with relevant industry experience.
• Culinary Arts degree and/or A Masters Degree with relevant industry experience and /or licensure preferred.
• Prior college, university, or industrial teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in Culinary Arts and Hospitality (Baking) per course description and outline.
• Deliver instruction across day/evening and hybrid modalities and coordinate schedules.
• Participate in departmental initiatives and other duties as defined by the Adjunct CBA.

All faculty positions have as their primary objective to create a dynamic teaching/learning environment for our students, while contributing service to the college. Faculty responsibilities include teaching assigned courses and following the course description and course outline established by the department. Teaching schedules may include day/evening courses and hybrid instruction and other instructional modalities. In accordance with the Adjunct Faculty collective bargaining agreement (CBA), additional activities may include participation in departmental initiatives, and other duties.

Qualifications – Education

Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in appropriate discipline required with relevant industry experience. Culinary Arts degree and/or A Masters Degree with relevant industry experience and /or licensure preferred.

Qualifications – Experience

Prior college, university, or industrial teaching and Culinary Arts experience preferred, as is evidence of scholarly and /or professional activities.
