Job Description

The Health Sciences Department offers vocational credit EKG Technician courses in face‑to‑face format. Adjunct instructors instruct students, develop curricula, assess student learning, participate in program evaluation, and maintain College and department standards.

This position reports to the Department Head, Allied Health.

NOTE: This is an open applicant pool. Positions are filled by the department on an as‑needed basis.

Minimum Qualifications

• To teach in the EKG Technician program one must be an EKG technician, paramedic, registered nurse, or respiratory therapist with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Possess appropriate certifications/licenses and a current BLS for health care providers.
• Be able to use the technology required for assigned course(s).
• Pass a criminal background check and meet the requirements of §435.04(2) Florida Statutes related to background investigations.

Salary Range

Adjunct Faculty shall be paid on an hourly basis according to degree level:

• Bachelor’s Degree or less: $28.00
• Master’sDegree: $30.00
• Doctorate: $32.00
