Job description

The Health Sciences Department offers college-level Emergency Medical Services courses in face‑to‑face format. Adjunct instructors instruct students, develop curricula, assess student learning, participate in program evaluation, and maintain college and department standards.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree in a qualifying field
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Current Florida certified paramedic
  • Current ACLS provider card
  • Preferred instructor ratings in ACLS, PALS, or BTLS
  • Successful results of a criminal background check
  • Ability to use technology required for assigned course(s)
Salary Range

Adjunct Faculty shall be paid on an hourly basis according to degree level as follows:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or less: $32.00
  • Master’s Degree: $35.00
  • Doctorate: $38.00
Legal and Background Information

Positions are filled on an as‑needed basis. Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for applicants to meet the requirements of §435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.
