Job summary

Capella University seeks adjunct and part-time faculty to teach in the GuidedPath and FlexPath formats. The role involves delivering instruction, mentoring doctoral learners, and participating in doctoral committees.

Candidates must be willing to travel 3–4 residencies per year and engage with online courseroom feedback to support learners. Responsibilities include assessing and guiding student performance, communicating with diverse university stakeholders, and adhering to policies.

Qualifications

• Three years of teaching experience preferred.
• Minimum two years required for undergraduate level and three years required for graduate level.
• Doctoral-level experience with how to conduct and oversee research in the discipline.
• All degrees must be conferred from a regionally accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction from a pre-designed curriculum.
• Mentor doctoral learners and participate in doctoral committees.
• Be available within 48 hours by phone, email, and in Courseroom to support learners.
• Travel within the US to participate in doctoral residencies (3–4 times per year).
• Utilize the online learning platform to enrich the learning experience.
• Adhere to University policies and participate in faculty meetings, workshops, and training.
