Helix College & Career Academy (HCCA) is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Adjunct Biology Instructor to join our faculty. This part‑time position is ideal for educators and professionals who are committed to student success and enjoy creating engaging, hands‑on learning experiences.

Adjunct instructors are appointed on a term‑by‑term basis, as instructional needs arise, and play a vital role in preparing students for academic and career success.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned Biology courses using effective instructional strategies.
• Foster a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Encourage critical thinking and student participation.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and other required academic records.
• Support the mission and values of Helix College & Career Academy.
• Adhere to all institutional policies and the Faculty Handbook.
• Collaborate with faculty and administration to promote student success.
• Report directly to the Founding Dean of HCCA.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:

• Master's degree in Biology or a closely related discipline; or
• Master's or doctoral degree in a medical or health‑related field (such as M.D., D.V.M., or D.D.S.); or
• Master's degree in any discipline with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Biology or another biological or life science field.
