Del Mar College is inviting applications for an adjunct Accounting pool to fill part-time/adjunct teaching assignments as needed. Openings include accounting courses taught face-to-face, online, and/or dual-credit classes.
You may be scheduled across different times and locations based on institutional needs. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's in Business with an Accounting major or an AAS in Accounting, plus three years of experience.
This is a CONTINUOUS recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill part-time/adjunct assignments on an as-needed basis. Departments or Divisions will refer to the POOL of applications on file to fill temporary assignments as the need arises. Demonstrate skill, knowledge and abilities in the teaching discipline. Teach assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need. Courses may include face to face courses, online courses, and/or dual-credit college classes.
Make continuous efforts to advance the quality of instruction. Develop and use a variety of teaching methods to assist students who have differing educational and experiential backgrounds in meeting the course outcomes.
Maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
Bachelor’s degree in Business with a major in Accounting ***OR*** Associate in Applied Science in Accounting and related licensures/certification.
Three (3) years demonstrated competencies in work experience.
Excellent written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Master’s degree in Accounting or Master’s degree with 18 hours of graduate accounting classes.
Applicants must reside in the state of Texas and be eligible to work in the United States.
