Job summary

Del Mar College is inviting applications for an adjunct Accounting pool to fill part-time/adjunct teaching assignments as needed. Openings include accounting courses taught face-to-face, online, and/or dual-credit classes.

You may be scheduled across different times and locations based on institutional needs. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's in Business with an Accounting major or an AAS in Accounting, plus three years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business with a major in Accounting OR Associate in Applied Science in Accounting and related licensures/certification.
• Three (3) years demonstrated competencies in work experience.
• Excellent written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need.
• Develop and use a variety of teaching methods to assist students who have differing educational and experiential backgrounds in meeting the course outcomes.
• Maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business with a major in Accounting ***OR*** Associate in Applied Science in Accounting and related licensures/certification.

Three (3) years demonstrated competencies in work experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Accounting or Master’s degree with 18 hours of graduate accounting classes.

Job Duties

• Preparing and delivering lessons plans on course objectives.
• Providing feedback on assessments covering course objectives.
• Maintain course records on grades, Census reports, and submissions for transcripts.
