Job summary

Del Mar College seeks adjunct instructors for the Business Administration department to teach assigned courses across various times and locations as needed. Courses may include online or dual-credit offerings and require ongoing efforts to improve instructional quality.

Instructors will use diverse teaching methods to address students with differing backgrounds and maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Business Management or a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in the discipline
• Bachelor’s degree in Business with an emphasis in Management, Business, or a related field
• Associate in Applied Science degree in Management and related licensures or certification and demonstrated competencies in work experience

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT - ADJUNCT :
Demonstrate skill, knowledge, and abilities in the teaching discipline.
Teach assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need. Courses may include online courses and/or dual-credit/early college classes.
Make continuous efforts to advance the quality of instruction. Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students who have differing educational and experiential backgrounds in meeting the course outcomes.
Maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community.

Minimum Qualifications

To instruct transfer courses:

Master’s degree or higher in Business Management or a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in the discipline

To instruct workforce courses:

Bachelor’s degree in Business with an emphasis in Management, Business, or a related field

-OR-

Associate in Applied Science degree in Management and related licensures or certification and demonstrated competencies in work experience

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Business Management.
Experience teaching at the secondary or college level.
