Job summary

Marshall, Gerstein & Borun LLP in Downtown Chicago seeks two experienced Legal Billers to support the firm’s recent Aderant implementation. The roles require strong legal billing skills and hands-on Aderant experience, with the ability to manage work independently.

Initial onsite training is preferred, with potential hybrid flexibility afterward; fully remote candidates will be considered only if they demonstrate exceptional Aderant and eBilling expertise.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Aderant experience (2–3 years preferred).
• Experience with eBilling, BillBlast, and LEDES 1998B.
• Ability to work independently with minimal ramp-up.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process legal invoices using Aderant.
• Manage assigned billing work accurately and within deadlines.
• Review invoices for accuracy and client billing requirements.
• Prepare and submit electronic invoices, including through BillBlast.
• Work with LEDES 1998B electronic billing files.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and issues.
• Coordinate with attorneys, billing colleagues, and accounting staff to address questions.
• Share Aderant knowledge and assist colleagues as needed.
