Job summary

Astranis is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer focused on additive manufacturing to build and scale our metal L-PBF capability. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of additive components, from design-for-manufacturability to production processes, tooling, and inspection on the factory floor.

Strong GD&T and 5‑axis machining experience are essential. You will collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to drive process improvements, develop SOPs, and ensure high quality parts with minimal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years in metal additive manufacturing (L-PBF).
• Familiar with GD&T and design-for-manufacturability.
• Experience with 5‑axis CNC and 3D CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Own additive metal process development from ground up.
• Develop DFAM assistance for design Reviews and tolerance analysis.
• Create SOPs for printer calibration, maintenance, and inspection.
• Develop process monitoring and quality criteria for prints.
• Troubleshoot non-conformances and drive corrective actions.
