Job summary
Divergent is seeking an Additive Manufacturing Equipment Engineer II to own and optimize laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF) production equipment. You will work at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, quality, reliability, and operations to resolve complex problems and standardize practices across the fleet.
As part of a growing aerospace and automotive manufacturing footprint, you will collaborate with senior engineers to stabilize new machines, improve reliability, and scale production,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechatronics or related field.
- 4–6 years in manufacturing/equipment engineering or similar.
- Strong troubleshooting across mechanical/electrical/controls.
- Experience launching or ramping production equipment.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, operations, quality, and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Support transition of new equipment from qualification to sustained manufacturing.
- Improve reliability, throughput, yield and OEE on assigned machines.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, controls and process issues.
- Provide production feedback to design engineering on performance and reliability.
- Lead RCCA investigations and implement corrective actions.
