VulcanForms Inc. in Massachusetts seeks a Senior Product Engineer, Additive to design and direct manufacturing processes for translating customer designs into printable production methods. You will lead DFAM feedback, develop process documentation, and drive continuous improvement across LPBF operations.

The role requires strong CAD software proficiency, GD&T expertise, and experience integrating additive with subtractive workflows; occasional travel to Devens, MA is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace, Biomedical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 4+ years of progressive experience in product or applications development in LPBF or additive tech.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer designs and provide DFAM feedback.
• Synthesize requirements for cost estimation, risk assessment, and timelines.
• Partner with product team to optimize processing for customer needs.
• Own process development for print setup and printing operations including materials properties, simulation, layout optimization, and tool design.
• Ensure appropriate inspection techniques with quality teams for development and production contexts.
• Develop design documentation for manufacturing processes, including specs, solid models and drawings.
• Write and maintain work instructions and quality documentation with configuration control.
• Troubleshoot and support printing processes in operations.
