Job summary

Hadrian is seeking a qualified engineer to own process development for additive manufacturing, with a focus on metals. You will drive DOEs, implement in situ monitoring, and build internal tools to accelerate parameter development and automation.

You will collaborate across materials, software, and welding teams to roll out validated production-ready processes, while exploring new technologies in a fast-paced environment at Hadrian's LA-area facility.

Qualifications

• Must have master's degree in engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in developing and optimizing additive manufacturing parameters (metal focus).
• Hands-on experience with additive manufacturing equipment and software, including build processors or process simulation tools.
• Experience building or improving automated workflows, scripting, or tooling to speed up development.
• Ability to translate new materials into validated, production-ready processes with materials engineering support.
• Comfort working in undefined space, building new processes and tools rather than relying on established norms.

Responsibilities

• Lead parameter development for metal additive processes; perform DOEs to define process windows and readiness.
• Drive adoption of in situ monitoring, SPC, and digital traceability records.
• Build software tools or evaluate market tools to accelerate parameter development and automation.
• Continuously research and bring in novel tools and technologies for process development.
• Design and build automated workflows to validate and implement new parameters.
• Serve as a point of contact for parameter needs tied to part geometries and platform challenges.
• Collaborate with materials, systems, software, welding engineers to rollout new parameters.
