Job Description

Luna Data Solutions has an immediate contract position opening for an IT Support Technician resource with our public sector industry client located in Austin, TX.

*This is a 100% onsite role.
Role: IT Support Technician
Role Description:

This resource will assist in the manual labor and support associated with the computer/docking station refresh project. This resource will be performing the day-to-day work of imaging, replacing the computers and migrating the data. Windows 11 technical support experience would be helpful but is not required.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experiencein handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines. Knowledge of personal computers, components, printers and microcomputers terms. Ability to work cooperatively with others in a professional work environment.


• Minimum of 1 year of experience maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairingcomputer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals. Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems. Prepares or assists in the preparation of service record documentation.


• Minimum of 1 year of experience providingtechnical assistance and support for applications and hardware problems. Installs, maintains, moves, and assists in testing and upgrading new and existing hardware/software. Maintains the necessary security controls over software.


• Minimum of 1 year of experience providingexcellent customer services.


• Ability to lift and relocate 30 lbs.


• Minimum of 1 year of experience installing, maintaining, moving, and assistingin testing and upgrading new and existing hardware and software. Maintains the necessary security controls over software.


• Minimum of 1 year of experienceusing WordPerfect, MS Office Suite. Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems. Skill in effective oral and written communication.


• Minimum of 1 year of experience assisting in monitoring and providing assistance on the use and interface of systems, subsystems, and software applications. May be responsible for accessing data from and transferring data to various local, state, or federal databases.


• Minimum of 1 year of knowledge of the practices, principles, and techniques of computer operations, of information systems, of computer software and hardware, and of information security policies and procedures.


• Minimum of 1 year of skill in the use and support of personal computers, in the use of applicable programs and systems, and in troubleshooting information systems. Ability to operate information technology systems and communicate effectively.


• Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Windows 11 technical support experience.
