Job summary

Pfizer in Bothell, WA seeks a Senior Associate Scientist (R2) for Conjugation Process Development in Bioprocess R&D to develop scalable conjugation processes for ADC manufacture and to support tech transfer to manufacturing facilities.

The role requires designing experiments, documenting results, and communicating findings to stakeholders. A BS/BA with 3–4 years or an MS with 0–2 years of experience is expected, with strong biochemical skills and teamwork.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering (or related) with 3–4 years experience, or MS with 0–2 years.
• Relevant laboratory research experience.
• Ability to grasp scientific concepts, interpret complex data, and formulate new hypotheses.
• Competency in standard biochemical lab techniques and ability to design and carry out complex experiments.
• Effective communication with scientists and management in a highly matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and execute conjugation experiments from milligram to gram scale.
• Ensure timely, high-quality documentation in ELN and reports.
• Present results to stakeholders and management in internal/external venues.
• Assist or lead technology transfer to clinical and commercial manufacturing facilities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain safe and efficient lab operations.
