Job summary

R&D Partners is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist in San Carlos, CA to develop robust conjugation processes for polysaccharide-protein conjugates. You will perform synthesis, purification, and characterisation, optimize procedures, and troubleshoot with minimal guidance.

You will design DOE experiments, analyze vendor materials, and maintain strict SOP adherence while collaborating across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry/Biochemistry with 5+ years in industry, or MS with 3+ years.
• Experience setting up chemical reactions.
• Protein conjugation and purification experience is a major plus.
• Dialysis, diafiltration, SEC, and TFF experience.

Responsibilities

• Generate conjugates and purify them using SEC and TFF.
• Design DOE-based process development experiments.
• Analyze vendor samples with colorimetric assays, gels, and LC.
• Maintain rigorous documentation and notebooks.
• Support lab operations and instrument maintenance.
• Present results in group meetings and cross-functional projects.

Education
