Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Research and Development North America (MBRDNA) seeks experienced engineers to develop, verify and document software packages for ADAS software integration in vehicles, involving flashing ECUs, vehicle readiness checks and test drives.

You will collaborate with international teams, drive root-cause analysis on bus level using CANoe and Wireshark, and contribute to release planning and automation to improve daily processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Physics, Electrical or related field
• 3+ years of relevant work experience
• Excellent software development and programming skills (C++, Python, bash…)
• Experience with debugging and analysis tools like CANoe, Wireshark
• Experience in embedded systems development/validation in automotive or consumer electronics
• Knowledge about ADAS/AD functions for L2/L3 automated driving
• Knowledge of E/E integration and automotive communication protocols
• Knowledge about build systems and compute platforms
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing boundary conditions
• Good communication skills and travel willingness
• Valid US driver's license

Responsibilities

• Integrate software packages into computing platforms (QNX, Linux)
• Understand the software architecture of the ADAS stack
• Debug issues on the signal chain between ADAS and vehicle ECUs
• Perform root-cause analysis across complex signal chains on bus level using CANoe, Wireshark
• Develop automation for triaging and analysis to improve daily team processes
• Collaborate with international development teams and partners
• Understand and contribute to software release planning and milestones
