Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America (MBRDNA) seeks engineers to integrate ADAS software into Mercedes-Benz vehicles. You will develop, verify, and document software packages for V&V activities, flash ECUs, and participate in test drives.

The role requires strong debugging, cross-functional collaboration with global teams, and willingness to travel internationally, especially to Germany. Domestic relocation not provided.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS / Auto Eng / Physics or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in ADAS development and state-of-the-art L2 and L2+ ADAS functions.
• Advanced coding skills in Python, Bash, Ansible, Bazel.
• Experience with automotive interfaces (CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet).
• Knowledge of ADAS sensors (Camera, Radar, LiDAR).

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware and firmware integration for the next generation prototypes and fleet vehicles on development PCs and ECUs.
• System debugging during integration and deployment of interfaces and connections (Ethernet, SW Interfaces, Sensor connections, …)
• Lead root cause analysis across complex signal chain.
• Lead signal level analysis on Bus Level using CANoe or other tools.
• Collaboration with international development teams and other external and internal partners to increase working efficiency.
• Develop technical understanding of signal architecture between ECUs.
• Develop technical understanding of SW Architecture within ADAS ECU.
• Participate in test drives to experience our product firsthand to understand current problems.
