Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Research and Development North America (MBRDNA) in the San Jose area seeks experienced engineers to integrate and validate ADAS software for Mercedes-Benz vehicles. You will develop, verify, and document software, flash ECUs, and perform test drives.

Expect root-cause analysis across CAN networks with CANoe/Wireshark and collaboration with international teams. The role demands independence, strong communication, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant work experience
• Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Physics, Electrical or related fields
• Strong C++, Python, Bash programming
• Experience with debugging and analysis tools like CANoe, Wireshark
• Experience in the development or validation of embedded systems in the automotive or consumer electronics industries
• Knowledge about ADAS/AD functions for L2/L3 automated driving
• Experience with E/E integration and automotive communication protocols (CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet, MOST)
• Knowledge about build systems and compute platforms
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously
• Willingness for occasional international travel
• Valid US driver's license

Responsibilities

• Integrate software packages into computing platforms (QNX, Linux)
• Debug and analyze ADAS software across vehicle ECUs
• Coordinate with global teams to drive root-cause analysis
• Document software packages for V&V activities
• Support software release planning and milestones
