Job summary

Blazer Jobs is seeking a Developmental Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (DAPE) to join a supportive middle school team in Blaine, MN on a full-time contract. You will design and deliver adaptive PE that meets IEP goals across multiple site locations, helping students build movement skills, independence, and confidence.

Qualifications

• Valid Minnesota DAPE teaching license.
• Experience delivering adaptive physical education, preferably in middle school.
• Knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring.
• Ability to manage a full-time caseload across different school locations.
• Strong teamwork and communication with students, staff, and families.
• Commitment to inclusive and engaging learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized adaptive PE curriculum.
• Instruct 1.0 FTE at Northdale and Roosevelt Middle Schools (37.5 hrs/wk).
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to create inclusive opportunities.
• Assess progress and maintain records.
• Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to goals and reports, and communicate with families.
• Promote a positive, energetic, and respectful classroom culture.
