Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a part-time Developmental Adapted Physical Education Teacher in Brooklyn Park, MN for the 2026-2027 school year. This in-person, half-time role (0.5 FTE, 20 hours per week) offers pay of $55-58/hour and requires strong collaboration with classroom staff.

Applicants must hold a Minnesota DAPE license (PEL SB Tier 3 or 4) and provide 3 references. This opportunity includes W-2 employment, liability insurance, health benefits, 401(k) with company match, licensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physical Education or Related Field.
• Active Minnesota DAPE license through PELSB (Tier 3 or 4).
• Previous classroom experience preferred.
• 3 references/letters of recommendation required.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized adapted physical education (APE) goals aligned with students’ IEPs.
• Plan and teach modified physical activities that improve motor skills, coordination, strength, and fitness.
• Adapt equipment, games, and instruction so students can safely and successfully participate.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support students’ physical development and inclusion.
• Monitor student progress, documents outcomes, and adjusts instruction to help students meet their goals.
