Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a part-time Developmental Adapted Physical Education Teacher in the Mounds View, MN area. This in-person role (0.5 FTE, 20 hours per week) focuses on creating adaptive PE goals aligned with students' IEPs and delivering modified activities to improve motor skills and fitness.

The ideal candidate will hold a Minnesota DAPE license (PELsb Tier 3 or 4) along with a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in PE or a related field, and prior classroom experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physical Education or related field.
• Active Minnesota DAPE license through PELSB (Tier 3 or 4).
• Previous classroom experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized adapted physical education goals aligned with IEPs.
• Plan and teach modified activities to improve motor skills and fitness.
• Adapt equipment and instruction to enable safe participation.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and families to support development.
• Monitor progress and adjust instruction to meet goals.
