Job summary

Brooklyn Center Community Schools is seeking a K-12 DAPE/Physical Education teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time position serves both elementary and secondary students with a ~40-student caseload and pulls out students for DAPE in elementary grades and schedules courses in middle and high school.

The qualified candidate will hold MN teaching licensure for DAPE and PE, be committed to culturally responsive instruction, and collaborate with families and staff to drive student

Qualifications

• MN Teaching licensure, K-12 DAPE and K-12 Physical Education required.
• Experience with culturally responsive instruction.
• Ability to differentiate for all learners.
• Experience with instructional technology integration to support engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide DAPE services to elementary and secondary students.
• Deliver services as small group pullout in elementary and as a scheduled course in middle and high school.
• Collaborate with general and special education staff to support student learning.
