Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university.
• Hold NC Professional Educator's License in Exceptional Children's area; valid driver's license.
• First Aid and CPR certifications; CPI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops IEPs for students with disabilities and updates them as needed.
• Implements instructional strategies and progress monitoring tools for specially designed instruction.
• Assist students in completing curriculum tasks and meeting IEP goals.
• Uses varied teaching methods and adapts materials to meet student needs.
• Monitors student behavior and maintains classroom discipline.
• Evaluates student work and coordinates progress report grades.
• Attends IEP meetings and collaborates with team members.
• Stays current on trends and best practices through professional development.
