Job summary

Binghamton University seeks an ADA Workplace Accommodation Specialist to assure equitable access for employees with disabilities under the ADA and related laws. The role coordinates the interactive accommodation process and serves as the main contact for disability-related requests, reporting to the Executive Director of Equity and Access.

This full-time on-site position requires a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, knowledge of ADA compliance, and experience in disability management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, organizational development or related field.
• Knowledge of the ADA and applicable federal and state laws.
• Experience in workplace disability management.
• Proficiency in documenting and communicating regulatory information.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate disability accommodation requests and interactive process.
• Act as primary contact for disability-related workplace accommodations.
• Review disability documentation for eligibility and compliance.
• Conduct accessibility evaluations of facilities, programs and services.
• Identify and implement accomodation equipment and assistive technology.
