Job summary

52 Limited is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Consultant to support our health insurance client on a six-month contract. You will own ADA accommodation requests, manage the interactive process from intake through documentation and resolution, and handle sensitive employee matters with discretion.

This hands-on HR role requires managing a high volume of cases, partnering with HR, Legal, and business leaders, and coaching managers on documentation and next steps.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HR experience, preferably with a focus on employee relations.
• 3+ years independently managing ADA accommodations and the interactive process.
• Strong knowledge of ADA requirements, reasonable accommodations, medical documentation, essential job functions, and related employment laws.
• Experience managing a high volume of employee accommodation cases with thorough documentation.
• Experience with HR case-management systems or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage ADA accommodation cases from intake through resolution, including employee communications, medical documentation review, accommodation evaluation, and case closure.
• Facilitate the ADA interactive process while ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws and company policies.
• Evaluate accommodation requests against essential job functions, operational needs, and available reasonable accommodations.
• Partner with HR, Leave and Benefits, Legal, and business leaders to assess accommodation options and navigate complex situations.
• Provide initial guidance on routine employee relations matters involving performance, conduct, and attendance.
• Identify and elevate complex or high-risk employee relations, legal, and compliance concerns.
• Maintain accurate, confidential case records and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
• Coach managers on appropriate documentation, policies, and next steps.
