Job summary

UnityPoint Health – Des Moines is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Younker 8 acute care unit. The role offers day shifts from 7am to 7:30pm with every third weekend and holiday rotation to support patient care needs.

Nurses must have Iowa RN licensure and a minimum of 12 months acute RN experience; new grads may enroll in the RN Residency program. A $20,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance up to $10,000 are available for eligible offers.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and Iowa RN licensure.
• Minimum of twelve months acute RN experience.
• New graduates may enter RN Residency in Des Moines UnityPoint Health.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate nursing care using the nursing process.
• Complete accurate documentation of patient care.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to plan and implement care.
• Assess patient and family needs and facilitate discharge planning.
• Deliver holistic, age-appropriate care and promote safety.
