Mercy is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to assist the Physical Therapist in providing physical therapy. The role involves performing delegated procedures, documenting progress, and adapting treatments to patient status within the established plan.

Emphasis is on safety, dignity, and age-specific needs. Responsibilities include assisting aides, coordinating workload, and reporting safety issues.

Formación

• Associate’s degree required.
• Current license to perform as a Physical Therapist Assistant from the appropriate State Board.
• Physical Therapist Assistant experience may be entry-level.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering physical therapy procedures as directed.
• Document patient progress notes and monitor status.
• Ensure patient safety and address age-specific needs of patients.
• Treat patients and families with respect and dignity.
• Follow pain management policies to assess and treat pain.
• Identify and report patient safety issues promptly.
• Provide technical assistance and direction to the Physical Therapy aide and coordinate department workload.
