Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in delivering patient-centered physical therapy at Mercy Hospital. The assistant will document progress, adjust treatment within the plan as patient status evolves, and ensure safety and dignity for patients of all ages.

Responsibilities include coordinating workload, guiding the Physical Therapy aide, and reporting safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Current license to practice as a PTA from the Board of Physical Therapy.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering patient-focused physical therapy.
• Document patient progress notes accurately.
• Modify a specific treatment procedure within the established plan as patient status changes.
• Maintain patient safety and address age-specific needs.
• Coordinate workload and provide direction to the Physical Therapy aide.
• Identify and report any patient safety issues.
