Job summary

Mercy Hospital seeks a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant to support a Physical Therapist in providing hospital-based care. You will perform delegated PT procedures, adjust treatments within the established plan, and document patient progress with a focus on safety and patient comfort.

You will supervise a PT aide, coordinate department workload, address age-specific needs, and ensure patients and families are treated with respect and dignity.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Currently licensed in the state of practice.
• Health Care Provider Basic Life Support Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering physical therapy within the supervising PT's plan.
• Perform delegated PT procedures and modify treatment as patient status changes.
• Document patient progress notes and ensure accurate record-keeping.
