Job summary

Vertex is seeking a Pain Territory Business Manager (TBM) to establish and maintain relationships with physicians and drive adoption of JOURNAVX in an acute pain setting. You will work with Pain Territory Account Managers to pull through hospital volume and access within your geographic area.

You will develop deep product knowledge, map stakeholders, and implement territory plans to identify growth opportunities while ensuring compliant collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of biotech sales experience with product launch experience.
• Experience engaging with diverse physicians and retail pharmacies.
• Experience pulling through inpatient formularies, protocols, pathways and order sets.
• Understanding patient treatment nuances, care coordination and referral patterns in geography.
• Proficiency with IT tools to support business needs including Veeva CRM.
• Experience in a highly matrixed environment.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Establish professional relationships with assigned physicians to promote JOURNAVX.
• Develop expertise on product attributes and educate HCPs on use in appropriate patients.
• Understand territory dynamics, stakeholder mapping and access drivers/barriers.
• Implement strategic territory plans to identify opportunities and grow within hospitals/health systems.
• Drive sales performance; ensure forecasts and budgets are met or exceeded.
• Collaborate with PTAMs, field medical, HEOR, IDN and payer teams to align business plans.
