Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Duluth, Minnesota, is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse (RN CAP 1) to join the Clinical Advancement Program. The role provides clinically competent care for an assigned patient group, with supervision from nursing leaders and collaboration with the dialysis care team.

You will perform assessments, document care plans, administer medications, respond to emergencies, and participate in training, with opportunities to advance through CAP requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in all states in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Perform data collection and analysis of patient data pre, during, and post treatment and document in the patient medical record.
• Adjust treatment plans as indicated and notify supervisor/physician as needed.
• Assess patient/family learning needs and provide initial and ongoing education.
• Report variations in patient status to the health care team.
• Direct and provide safe, effective patient care for assigned patients.
• Collaborate with staff and other clinicians to ensure continuity of care.
• Assist with training and orientation of new staff; may provide specialized nursing instruction.
• May be assigned to outpatient facilities as needed.
