Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Lexington, KY seeks an entry level Registered Nurse (RN) for the Inpatient Services CAP. This role provides and coordinates clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients in a dialysis environment.

The RN must complete CAP requirements to advance, hold a current state license, and CPR/BLS certification. Responsibilities include data collection, care planning, patient education, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in all states in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Document and monitor patient data, adjust treatment plans, and notify the supervisor/physician as needed.
• Educate patients and families on care needs and post-treatment instructions.
• Provide safe, effective patient care and collaborate with nursing staff and other health team members.
