Job summary

Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, NE seeks a Virtual Nurse to provide remote nursing care to patients at the bedside RN using technology. This is an on-site position with a 24-hour week and mid shift 1100-2330, and some weekend off shift coverage.

The Virtual Nurse will assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor and evaluate the patient care plan from admission to discharge, collaborating with other professionals to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN with ADN or Nursing Diploma required.
• Minimum 3 years RN experience in an acute care setting.
• Licensed as RN in Nebraska or current compact state license.
• BLS certification from an AHA-endorsed program.
• Experience caring for medically complex patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote nursing care and assistance to patient and bedside RN using technology.
• Virtually administer care by assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the care plan.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care delivery and outcomes.
