Job summary

Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, NE seeks a Virtual RN for on-site care at Nebraska Medical Center. This 24-hour-per-week role requires working mid-shift 1100–2330 with some weekend off-shift coverage.

You will remotely provide nursing care and coordinate with the bedside RN using telehealth technologies to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care from admission to discharge. Requirements include an ADN or nursing diploma, 3+ years in acute care, Nebraska license or compact, BLS, experience

Qualifications

• ADN or Nursing Diploma required.
• 3+ years of RN experience in an acute care hospital.
• Nebraska license or compact-state license.
• BLS certification from an AHA-endorsed program.
• Experience with medically complex patients.
• Independent clinical decision-making required.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Proficient with EHR (Epic preferred), Microsoft Office, and Philips monitoring.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and telehealth data security.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote nursing care and assist bedside RN via telehealth.
• Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate patient care.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to achieve desired outcomes.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and secure handling of patient information.
