Job summary

STHS Heart in McAllen, TX seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to manage care for patients admitted for medical conditions or surgical procedures. You will provide leadership, assess, plan, guide, and evaluate nursing care in alignment with hospital policies and patient-centered care principles.

In this role you will supervise nursing staff, collaborate with the healthcare team, and ensure safe, competent care.

Qualifications

• Commitment to the Compliance Program and Code of Conduct with adherence to policies.
• Demonstrated compliance with required training and reporting of issues to Compliance Officer.

Responsibilities

• Manage nursing care for patients with medical conditions or surgical procedures.
• Provide professional leadership and guidance to the healthcare team.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in alignment with policy.
• Oversee nursing staff and coordinate interactions with hospital/ancillary departments.
• Possibility of weekends/evenings/nights/on-call requirements; uphold service excellence.

Education

RN license in Texas

BSN preferred

Associate/Baccalaureate/Diploma in Nursing

Current BLS certification

ARC/AHA healthcare provider certifications
