Job summary

STHS McAllen is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to manage patients and provide leadership in an acute care setting. You will assess, plan, guide, and evaluate nursing care, ensuring safety and adherence to hospital policies, while supporting the healthcare team.

The role requires flexibility to work weekends/evenings/nights/on-call as needed; current Texas license with BSN preferred and active BLS is required. You will oversee nursing staff and ensure patient-centered care across units.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed in Texas or a compact state.
• BSN preferred; ADN or diploma acceptable in lieu.
• Must maintain BLS and unit-specific certifications.
• Certifications per unit: ARC/AHAHealthcare Provider standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care per facility policies and standards.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Oversee and guide nursing staff under your supervision; coordinate with hospital departments.
• Work weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, and/or on-call as needed.
