Job summary

South Texas Health System seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to manage patients with medical or surgical conditions and to provide professional nursing leadership. You will assess, plan, guide, and evaluate nursing care in line with policy and patient-centered care principles, overseeing staff and coordinating with the healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Requirements include a Texas RN license (BSN preferred), an Associate/Bachelor/Diploma in Nursing, current BLS, and ARC/AHA

Qualifications

• RN license in Texas or compact state; BSN preferred
• Associates/Bachelor's/Diploma in Nursing required
• Current BLS; ARC/AHA healthcare provider certifications as applicable

Responsibilities

• Manage patients with medical conditions or surgical procedures; provide professional nursing leadership
• Assess, plan, guide, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with policies and philosophy
• Oversee nursing staff and coordinate with hospital teams; ensure patient-centered care and safety
• May require weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, or on-call status
