Job summary

STHS Heart in McAllen, TX is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care, lead the nursing team, and coordinate patient care from admission through discharge.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care according to policy, collaborate with hospital staff, and participate in on-call or weekend coverage as needed, upholding Service Excellence standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a Texas-licensed RN with current BLS and relevant certifications.
• BSN preferred; ADN/ Diploma acceptable with licensure.
• Experience in acute care settings and leadership roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients admitted or seen for medical/surgical conditions and provide professional nursing leadership.
• Assess, plan, guide and evaluate nursing care in accordance with policies and standards.
• Oversee nursing staff under supervision and coordinate with hospital departments.
• Possibility of weekends/holidays/evenings/nights/on-call as needed for service excellence.
