Job summary

Alaska Regional Hospital, part of the HCA Healthcare network in Anchorage, seeks an experienced RN for the Medical Unit. You will deliver direct patient care, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with families to meet developmental and cultural needs.

You will respond to condition changes, communicate with physicians, and participate in process improvements while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Alaska RN licensure and BLS/ACLS are required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current State of Alaska RN license.
• BLS or BCLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association).
• ACLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association).
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Chemotherapy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and planning for individualized patient care.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Collaborate with patient and family to develop and implement care plans.
• Communicate effectively with physicians about patient condition and test results.
• Perform nursing duties across the continuum of care for all patients.
• Participate in department process improvement initiatives.
• Remain composed and professional, especially under pressure.
