Job summary

MercyOne Genesis seeks a Registered Nurse to provide safe, effective, and culturally competent care for patients with acute medical and surgical conditions. You will apply evidence-based practice and collaborate with a diverse care team.

Responsibilities include initial assessments, care planning, coordinating with physicians and case managers, and ensuring discharge planning and education are addressed. 12-hour day shifts, rotating weekends, in the MercyOne Genesis region.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, and culturally competent care for patients with acute medical and surgical conditions.
• Conduct initial assessments and develop goal-based care plans.
• Coordinate care with physicians, case managers and interdisciplinary team.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient education.
• Supervise and delegate to nursing staff as assigned.
