Job summary

MercyOne Genesis Aledo Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe, effective, and culturally competent care for acute medical and surgical patients. The RN will collaborate with LPNs, aides, and physicians to plan and implement patient care, including discharge planning and education.

The role requires an Associate degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), Illinois RN license, and BLS. Day shift, 36 hours per week (.9 FTE) with rotating holidays and every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Illinois RN license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessment within 30 minutes of admission.
• Develop and implement outcome/goal-based care plans.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team and discharge planning.
• Document and communicate changes in patient condition to team.
• Ensure safety and adherence to policies and procedures.
