Job summary

MercyOne Genesis in Iowa is seeking a Registered Nurse for a part-time, rotating shift. You will provide safe, compassionate care for patients with acute medical and surgical conditions, coordinate with the care team, and uphold MercyOne’s mission and values.

This role requires initial assessments within 30 minutes, care planning, implementing treatments, and discharge planning. PRN schedule supports flexible hours; patient care teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license.
• BLS required; ACLS required only if telemetry is used.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use hospital systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient assessments within 30 minutes of admission.
• Develop and implement outcome-based care plans.
• Coordinate care with the health team and families.
• Assist in discharge planning and care transitions.
• Ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
• Maintain safety and infection control standards.
