Job summary

Mercy is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to support licensed Physical Therapists in delivering high-quality care to patients in our facility in Del City, OK. The role involves assisting with therapy procedures, documenting patient progress, and ensuring safety aligned with the Physical Therapist's treatment plan.

The incumbent will address age-specific needs, maintain respect and dignity for patients and families, and report any safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant from the Board of Physical Therapy in the applicable State.
• Health Care Provider Basic Life Support Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in providing physical therapy treatments as delegated.
• Perform physical therapy procedures and document patient progress notes.
• Ensure patient safety and address age-specific needs during treatment.
• Communicate with patients and families with respect and dignity, reporting safety issues as needed.
• Provide technical assistance and direction to the Physical Therapy aide and coordinate department workload.
