Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for acute care rehabilitation. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with evenings (2 per week) and one weekend day every four weeks. A minimum of one year in acute care is preferred; EPIC EMR experience is a plus.

Compensation ranges from $41.10 to $61.65 per hour with a $5,000 sign-on for full-time hire. Responsibilities include evaluations, treatment planning, discharge planning, and thorough documentation, while adhering

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of practice.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Minimum one year of acute care experience; ED exposure is a plus.
• Must be flexible, reliable, collaborative and able to provide compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Interpret physician referrals and complete musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, and/or integumentary evaluations.
• Establish a plan of care and implement treatments; monitor outcomes and adjust as needed.
• Discharge planning with home programs and patient/family education.
• Document according to policies; manage billing and scheduling; maintain productivity.
• Ensure safety and infection control; may supervise PT assistants or rehab extenders.
