Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Medical Acute Care unit in Boston. The role requires day and night availability with rotating weekend and holiday coverage, on-site at 55 Fruit Street.

The position offers weekly pay, and benefits including medical/dental/vision and tuition reimbursement. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals, document in the EHR, support patient care teams, and help with admissions and discharges.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: BLS, CMA, Nursing Assistant Certifications.
• Experience: 0–1 year preferred in patient care.
• Knowledge: medical terminology and patient safety.
• Ability: lift up to 35 pounds; good communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating).
• Record vital signs, temperatures, and basic assessments as directed.
• Document in Electronic Health Record (EHR) accurately.
• Support with admissions, discharges, and patient mobility.
• Maintain clean, stocked patient rooms and assist with equipment setup.
